Large Files And Folders Finder+ is a handy tool that you can use to look for large files and folders on local or removable storage devices in order to determine the content that is taking too much disk space.
Search for large files in a user-friendly interface
Thanks to a user-friendly interface, the application is very easy to use. Its GUI consists of a single window that includes all the options and functions, with no additional menus to explore.
All the connected local or removable storage devices are detected and displayed within its main window, enabling you to select the drive you want the application to analyze. You can instruct it to filter the search by adjusting the minimum size of the files and manually selecting the directories you want it to look into. The folders that remain unselected are automatically ignored.
View large files and folders on your computer
Large Files And Folders Finder+ can find files and / or folders that are larger than the user-defined size. Once the scan process is complete, it displays all the matching entries (files, folders or both) within its main window, in a structured table, alongside their exact location and their size. You can choose from a tree view or a grid view and other options, including what size range you want to search for. You can also export to Excel as well.
Click start once you picked your view and option, and it will show you the results very quickly, depending on the size of your drive and the number of files. You can now right-click on anything found and decide if you want to open the target folder, delete, move or even run the uninstaller, as seen in screenshot number three below.
A more recent feature of Large Files and Folders Finder+ is disks Watchdog, which allows you to be notified if any drive you select goes over the desired size. It works independently and can be started with Windows.

The freeware Largest Files Finder finds the 100 largest files on your hard disk or within multiple subdirectories. Once you start Largest Files Finder , the software automatically scans your hard drive and shows you the top 100 biggest files on your hard disk. For each file you see the following information in the top 100 largest files list: file name, full folder path, file size and date of last change. If you need more free disk space, simply run that freeware and see what files can be deleted to get more free disk space.
When someone tells you they’re running out of hard drive space, the first thing you would probably tell them to do is to clean up the system using a program such as CCleaner. That will help remove all the junk and temp files that can take up several Gigabytes on badly affected systems. Uninstalling old software might free up some more space depending on how many useless programs are installed.
