Calendar Magic

1: What does the registration key mean?
A registration key is a one-of-a-kind ID generated by the FME Licensing Assistant from system data. It's Safe's way of limiting a single fixed license to a single computer.

2: What is a registration key number?
A registration key is a code of letters and numbers that allows access to one of the many Thomson Reuters products, such as Westlaw, CLEAR, Firm Central, and more.

3: What is the registration key?
Each person will create an individual user account by entering the customer's account number, an online registration key (available from your local dealer), and basic billing and shipping address information. The account administrator will be the first account created.

Easy to use but limited in scope, Calendar Magic is a basic program that creates a calendar with your own digital images. Images are placed at the top of a page, while the calendar (with dates automatically generated) appears at the bottom of a page. Background images as well as a number of picture masks, or frames, are available as effects. You can’t change the calendar printing format, however, which is limited to A4 (8″ by 11″) size paper. There also isn’t any option to enter comments or notes in the calendar portion of the layout. Windows 2000 users take heed, as we weren’t able to launch this program on our test machine running that operating system. What’s more, be sure your printer already is installed before running Calendar Magic, or you may encounter a few program errors. For a basic calendar, Calendar Magic works just fine, but if you’re looking for more functionality, look elsewhere.

Calendar Magic is a small application that displays many types of calendars and packs some additional utilities. It is certainly designed for users who want to be organized.

The interface may seem plain for some users, but that’s because it focuses on functionality, not on visual impact. Calendar Magic is clearly a straightforward program.

At program startup you can view useful tips, but you can also disable them. Calendar Magic allows you to instantly backup and restore files (initialization, quick notes, reminders) by making one click, and view year calendars of any type (e.g. Gregorian, Hebrew) from any era.

Furthermore, you can use dual, month, planning (e.g. academic, fiscal) or special (according to country) calendars, compare calendars, analyze the Gregorian calendar, convert dates, view Easter or regnal dates, New Year’s days, religious festivals, the main event of the current day in all countries, Summer and Winter Olympic Games etc.

In addition, you can use a time calculator, countdown times and stopwatch, view world clocks, set an alarm clock, add reminders, take quick notes, use mathematical tools (e.g. expression, fraction or prime calculator), convert currency, password-protect Calendar Magic, customize text font, save information as text and more.

Calendar Magic definitely comes in a complete pack and it uses low system resources. We have not found any issues with it, except for the interface that could use a little makeover.

So, whether you want to find out when the next religious holiday is, or calculate your monthly expenses, you need this application.

Calendar Magic is an easy-to-use pack of calendar utilities that is entertaining, informative, educational, and of equal applicability in the home and in the office.

It supports the following calendars: Full year and individual month Gregorian, Afghan, Armenian, Baha’i, Bangla, Chinese, Coptic, Egyptian, Ethiopic, French Revolutionary, Hebrew, Hindu Lunisolar (3 variants), Hindu Solar, Indian National, Islamic Civil, Julian, Revised Julian, Parsi Fasli, Parsi Kadmi, Parsi Shenshai, Persian (2 variants), Sikh Nanakshahi and Vietnamese calendars.

A user option is provided to choose between displaying/printing calendars showing each week starting on a Monday (in line with the ISO 8601 international standard), on a Sunday for North American users, or on a Saturday for Middle East users.

It supports a month-by-month, side-by-side comparison of any two of the 23 calendar systems listed above. The display remains synchronised as you change day, month and year values in either calendar system being viewed.

Again, users may choose between displaying each month with weeks starting on a Saturday, Sunday or Monday.

It supports date conversions among the 23 calendar systems listed above, plus conversions to Balinese Pawukon, Thai solar, old Hindu Solar, old Hindu Lunisolar and Mayan date formats.

Julian day value, day of week and day of year information is also displayed. For Gregorian dates, many other facts are displayed, such as modified Julian day value, Lilian day value and Rata Die day value, and year related information including Roman numeral form, Dominical Letter(s), Dionysian Period, Julian Period, Golden Number, Solar Number, Roman Indiction and Epact.

Various special days are also recognised (e. g. Halloween), as are modern Olympic years, Commonwealth Games years, European Athletics Championship years, and World Athletic Championship years.

It includes lists of Western Christian festivals, Eastern Orthodox festivals, Hebrew festivals and Islamic festivals for any (Gregorian) year.

In addition, Hindu festivals may be listed for any year in the range 2000 to 2043, Baha’i festivals from 1845 onwards, Buddhist and Chinese festivals from 1645 to 3000, and Sikh Nanakshahi festivals from 1999 onwards.

It has the ability to create, display, update and delete reminders for events (birthdays, anniversaries, meetings etc. ) for “this year”, “next year” or “every year”.

When Calendar Magic is started up, both visual and audible warnings are given for “imminent” events (those occurring within the next seven days) for which reminders have been set.

In addition, a calendar for any month, in this year or next year, may be displayed with day numbers highlighted in red for those days in the month for which reminders have been set.

The calendar that we use is the Gregorian Calendar, which is the international standard calendar, and was established in 1582 by Pope Gregory XIII. Nevertheless, during the history and depending on the different geographical region, there have been many more calendars. Nearly as many as there have been different cultures and religions.

Calendar Magic is, as well as practical, entertaining, informative and educational. It includes the data of up to 25 different calendars, among which we will find the Gregorian Calendar, the Hebrew Calendar, French Revolutionary calendar, the Ethiopic, the different Islamic calendars, the Coptic and the Hindu (Solar and three Lunisolar), among others.

It offers views and correlations between the different calendars so that we can find out which data corresponds with each date or establish temporary equivalence.

Among the list of amazing functions that it includes, we will find tools like “This is Your Life“, that provides data about the zodiac sign, and the date of birth depending on various cultures and religions. A program that is ideal for those that are interested in other cultures like history teachers, and also those that are interested in astrology.

Fixed Calendar

Happy Leap Day! I have a cousin who was born on February 29th. I guess today must be her 9th birthday, which might come as a surprise to her kids… What kind of calendar has a day that just shows up every four years (except when it doesn’t) like some sort of deadbeat dad? Surely there must be a better way!

Our Calendar (kind of) Sucks

The Gregorian calendar was introduced to the world in 1582. It was an incremental improvement to the Julian calendar, which it replaced. The new calendar moved Easter around a bit and made calculation of leap years even more complicated. The Gregorian calendar was certainly cutting edge 16th-century technology when it was introduced, but then again, so was the pencil and the letter J.
