When the program is executed a small progress bar appears on your desktop showing the countdown timer for the next rest break. You can move this progress bar to a desired position. You can also modify the rest break interval of time and the rest break duration.

When the rest break time occurs the entire screen becomes black and it cannot be unlocked for at least for 1 minute. There is also an option to completely avoid unlocking the computer until the set rest break time is finished.

The timer can be paused if the computer is inactive or if the computer is running a program in full screen mode.

Other actions to perform while taking a rest break are: turn off the monitor, run a screensaver, run an application, and play a music file. You can also protect iRestBreak with a password to avoid other users to change the parameters.

iRestBreak is a powerful software for reminding people to taking regular rests when using computer. It help computer users prevent RSI(Repetitive Strain Injuries) ,CVS(Computer vision syndrome). OOS (Occupational Overuse Syndrome),It is helpful to protect your health when using computer.SoundBreak is an extremely useful open-source utility that will remind you to take a ‘microbreak’ every X number of minutes. This will help you not only to give your hands, wrists and fingers a break, but also to the rest of your body, especially to your eyes, back and neck. The objective is to prevent all those common injuries and syndromes derived from keyboard overuse.

Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI), Occupational Overuse Syndrome (OOS), and CTS (Carpal Tunnel Syndrome) are just some of the consequences of spending too much time sitting and typing at your computer without a break. SoundBreak’s simple functionality will remind you every X number of minutes (typically, between 5 and 15 minutes) of taking a break by playing back any of the sound files provided or your favorite melodies. SoundBreak will silently sit at the background without interfering in your activities, but it will efficiently prompt you to take a short break following your preferences.

You can define both the number of minutes between reminders and the sound files to be used. The program can use a different sound every time, so that these reminders do not become so repetitive and boring that you start ignoring them. Configuring this free tool takes barely a few seconds, and it can be set to launch automatically every time you start your computer.

In today’s world we sit without moving for long hours in front of the computer screen. We hurt our eyes, shoulders, backs, and wrists. A short break every once in a while can reduce repetitive-stress injuries associated with computer usage. This free utility, which rests in the system tray, reminds us when to take a break, and it does so in style.

5 Minute Break allows you to set a timer countdown which will invite you to take a 5-minute break every time it goes off. You can select a lapse time from a list of values ranging from 5 minutes to 4 hours. In addition, you can customize the alarm message that will remind you to take a break, as well as the alarm sound.

The program does not include any main window or configuration panel. Instead, it simply installs an icon in your system tray area. You can click on this icon to start or stop the alarm countdown, and right-click on it to display the context menu, which, in turn, you can use to set the default timer and alarm sound, toggle the language of the program between English and Polish, and start a customized timer countdown.

When the timer goes off, the program displays a full-screen webpage showing the reminder message and the 5-minute countdown. After the 5 minutes, the message and countdown change, this time to encourage you to return to your work. You can go to the program’s folder and edit the corresponding HTML file (either the English or the Polish version) to customize the alarm message. You can also change a JavaScript variable to set the break time to be different from 5 minutes. Finally, in the context menu, you can also configure the program to run automatically at Windows start-up.

In conclusion, 5 Minute Break allows you to focus on your work and, at the same time, to be reminded of when you need to take a short break, all without being aware of the clock.
