ADO++ is a user management tool for Active Directory Exchange 2010/2007/2003. With ADO++ the administrator can edit all attributes of an AD-Object with one tool. ADO++ fully covers the Exchange and standard properties of users, groups dynamic and contacts, including managing mailbox rights and delegations. With the introduction of Exchange 2007, Microsoft has changed the administration of user, groups etc. The administration of the Exchange attributes of an Active-Directory-object has been separated from managing the non-Exchange attributes. Although belonging to the same object, the attributes must be administered with two tools: the Microsoft ADUC, and the management console of Exchange 2010/2007. Additionally the administrator can and has to use the Power shell with the Exchange-Snapin. It displays the Active Directory objects in the directory hierarchy, like the ADUC does, or in a flat Browser structure, like the global address list in Outlook. The full version of ADO++ with its own user management can be configured differently for different users. So ADO++ can only show a special part of the directory for one user, another part for another user. It is also possible to configure the tasks, a user can perform with the objects. The Special Edition is a single user installation
Using ADO it is now again possible to administrate all important attributes of an Active Directory-Object, including the Exchange 2010 or 2007 attributes, with one tool. ADO also allows the administrator to manage exchange mailboxrights as done in Exchange 2003. ADO displays the Active Directory objects in the directory hierarchy, like the ADUC, or in a flat Browser structure, like the global addresslist in Outlook.
